Intro to the Dialogue

The Christian Reformed Church (CRC) has been discussing the matter of the ordination of women since the early 1970's. This particular dialogue is designed to address some of the topics that are presently receiving attention within that denomination.

It must be noted that the responses tallied do not represent a scientific survey with a precise margin of error. This exchange is intended rather, to be an informal communication on the topic. One respondent commented that those who feel strongly one way or the other will be more likely to respond while many others will not. He is probably correct. It is hoped that this exchange will encourage further reflection on the topic and that it will produce some well-thought out ideas on what the Scriptures teach. In addition to "pro" or "con" responses, recipients are encouraged to further the dialogue by contributing insights pertaining to these corollaries. In seeking input from the broader church it is hoped that the Spirit will lead in supplying a correct understanding of the Word of God in this area.
